My original quilt pictured was made using civil war reproduction fabrics. Butterfly collection was a popular pastime during the civil war years, the butterflies in their log cabin boxes are representational of how people displayed their butterfly collections. I have seen this quilt made up in Aunt Grace fabric and as a scrappy quilt to great effect.
