This exclusive retreat is for free range hens, where they can lay eggs at their leisure and hunt for worms in the dirt. For several years we kept a brood of bantams in our backyard, my Dad built a very exotic hen house for them and this was the inspiration for this design.
I have used tea-dyed calico as the background for my stitchery, you could use any cream on cream tonal and get a fantastic look. I added coordinating print narrow strips log cabin to the center stitchery to create this sweet Hens Live Here Pillow.
